4. Configuring Outlook Express 4.01/4.5 for multiple e-mail addresses
5. Configuring Outlook Express 5 for multiple e-mail addresses
1. Introduction
It is possible to have a total of five e-mail addresses for your Virgin Net account. These can be used for friends, family or business use. This document describes how to use this feature of the Virgin Net service. It is not possible to automatically configure your e-mail software to use these addresses. It is hoped this feature will be implemented in the next version of our client software. As a consequence this means you have to manually configure your e-mail software to use additional e-mail addresses.
It is assumed that you have already registered with Virgin Net and have Outlook Express/Netscape Navigator set-up for your initial e-mail address.
You have to first register an additional e-mail address and then configure your e-mail software to use this address. These steps are described below.
Note the user information and password details which are obtained when you register an additional e-mail address are for e-mail use only. You can not login/connect to Virgin Net using this information.
For the purposes of this document Outlook Express 4.01 and 4.5 should be considered identical.
